Siouxsie Q to Host Q&A Following Preview of 'Mono/Poly' Stage Play Friday Night

LOS ANGELES — “Sex-positive influencers and allies” are invited to Friday's special preview of the new stage play “Mono/Poly,” which will include a post-show Q&A moderated by activist, educator and performer Siouxsie Q.

“Mono/Poly,” presented by Tubeman Productions, was written and directed by Brian Reynolds, who will step into one of the main roles for the preview, set for Friday, 8 p.m., at the Odyssey Theater in Hollywood.

The play follows the entanglement of two monogamous couples who encounter a polyamorous triad at a costume party. “The triad becomes entwined in the business and personal lives of the first two couples, forcing them to examine their long-held beliefs about love and marriage. Although sexually free, the members of the triad adhere to their own fairly rigid ethical code,” a rep said.

“Mono/Poly” does not contain nudity; however, “there are frank discussions of sexuality, straight and gay, with some suggestive depictions.”

Following the performance, Reynolds and Morgan MacDouglas, Reynolds’ wife and executive producer, will join Siouxsie Q to discuss their 25-year polyamorous relationship, which inspired the events of the play.

Siouxsie Q will also host a Q&A following the October 26 performance of “Mono/Poly” to welcome the members of a non-monogamy social group from the Inland Empire who plan to be in attendance.

She and Tubeman Productions first collaborated in 2017 on “Fish Girl,” her “mermaid musical,” and earlier this year Siouxsie Q helped the company develop an influencer marketing program for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

“My background is in theater, and I've been polyamorous for as long as I can remember,” says Siouxsie Q. “I'm excited to bring these two important parts of my life together and share it with Los Angeles, as well as some of my favorite adult industry influencers, including sex and trauma specialist Jimenikia Eborn, BBW starlet Genevieve LaFleur and transgender icon and entrepreneur Buck Angel.”

“Mono/Poly” runs through November 10. Click here for ticketing and additional details. Direct inquiries to info@tubemanent.com.
