Vice Canada Reports on Samantha Mack's Casting Couch Flip 'Porno Bootcamp'

VANCOUVER — Vice Canada has released “Porno Bootcamp: Inside the Training Ground for Amateur Porn Actors,” a new documentary report featuring local industry star Samantha Mack.

Mack, who describes herself on camera as “a smut peddler,” says she has been trying to “start a Canadian porn industry.”

"Porno Bootcamp" is set up like a reality show for casting new male talent. The goal is to "flip the traditional casting 'couch model' on its head," according to Mack.

“In creating 'Porno Bootcamp,' Sam has created a casting process that is subversive, demanding and female-fun,” said a Vice rep. “It’s all designed to test male talent and find out who can perform under pressure and hold their own when the camera rolls.”

The Vice Canada piece also features adult performer and wrestler Shreddz, Mack’s longtime associate — and perennial date to the XBIZ Awards show date — and veteran director, producer and VR evangelist Anna Lee.

"Porno Bootcamp is an incredible program and project to be a part of because it serves two purposes," Lee told XBIZ. "Firstly as primarily a VR Director, it allows me to harvest and train new male talent. I get a chance to work with men in an environment that allows for me to get exactly what I need for shoots but also gives them an incredible opportunity to work at a level most wouldn’t be able to. Secondly I love how it really empowers our ladies. This is 100 percent female run. The women call the shots from producer to talent. We collaborate. We encourage and we create together. It’s an especially safe environment for new ladies looking to explore their sexuality and the business."

"It’s the kind of casting couch I’ve always wanted to see and shoot," Lee added.
