PALO ALTO, Calif. — VirtualMate is using the latest in digital regeneration technology to bring back classic porn stars as virtual interactive girlfriends.
According to the company, VirtualMate is a new "intimacy system" that syncs interactive content with a multi-functional sex toy for a unique sensory experience. The system will launch its official Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign Monday, September 9, with a shipment date of early December and is poised to bring back some of porn’s favorites.

Dillon noted that the digital recreations will give performers the opportunity to "profit from their image and interact with their fans and perform in scenes as the picture-perfect representation of themselves at any point in their careers,” he said.
A number of performers have joined a fan-voted contest to decide who will become the next Virtual Mate, with Lexi Luna, Cherie DeVille, Maddy O'Reilly, Cindy Starfall, Jaclyn Taylor, Austyn Monroe, Tiffany Watson and others running in the competition.
The virtual performers’ expressions and movements are generated using real-time rendering plus body and facial capture technology, then programmed into a virtual world with a variety of different intimacy levels.
