ASACP Names AgeChecked, The Lion's Den as July's Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its Featured Sponsors for the month of July 2019.

Each month, the association recognizes a selection of Featured Sponsors that demonstrate how adult entertainment professionals are committed to the cause of child protection — and operating on the front lines of this noble need, are able to improve the safety of children’s daily digital lives.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning notes that ASACP’s Featured Sponsors not only do their part to protect children but through their support of the association, enable its many in-demand services.

These services include the award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that filters out age-restricted materials, along with market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics that guides companies towards child-safe operation. Additionally, the non-profit association’s 23-year-long record of success is highlighted by its globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports to-date — illustrating the value of the association and the effective use it makes of the support it receives.

“Through self-regulation and proactive measures,” Henning explains, “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors showcase the best of the industry, and reveal how serving the needs of adults doesn’t have to come at the expense of protecting children.”

For July, ASACP is pleased to honor AgeChecked and The Lion’s Den as Featured Sponsors, recognizing their continued support of the association and expressing gratitude for the commitment these companies show to make the internet safer for children.

AgeChecked
ASACP’s exclusive Diamond Sponsor since 2017, AgeChecked provides online age verification to businesses with age-restricted content or products. The company’s services enable adult website owners to easily and effectively comply with a growing global trend towards mandatory online age verification.

“Our mission is to provide businesses with a service that is barely noticeable to the user, whilst meeting the full requirements of the law,” AgeChecked CEO Alastair Graham explains.

AgeChecked offers fast verifications, the widest customer choice of verification methods, and automatic logins for customers who have previously been verified with AgeChecked or partner companies.

“The goals of AgeChecked and ASACP are strongly aligned. Both our organizations work to promote child protection online,” Graham says. “The ASACP has a fantastic track record of doing that over many years and we are happy to support this hard-working charity and the work that it does worldwide.”

The Lion’s Den
An elite ASACP Title Sponsor, The Lion’s Den Adult Superstore is dedicated to providing consumers with the very best adult merchandise — including a wide range of toys, magazines, DVDs, lingerie, massage oils and gifts for both bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971 and has since then expanded to more than 40 locations throughout the country, each of which maintains the highest standards of customer service and professionalism bolstered by a courteous sales staff.

According to the company, it built its reputation on quality products and low prices from the very beginning, treating customers with the dignity and respect that forms loyal relationships — a focus on dignity and respect that it has extended its support of ASACP since 2006, out of a desire to protect children from exposure to products and services intended for adults only.

“From leaders in age verification to providers of adult content and beyond, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors demonstrate the ways in which responsible companies support online child protection,” Henning concludes. “This commitment to doing the right thing deserves the admiration of everyone, and should serve as an example for their corporate peers to follow.”
